Symptoms: beginning in 2018 at about 51k miles, on at least 6 occasions at highway speeds at engine speeds exceeding 3500 RPM, the truck “violently” slams into limp mode, dropping RPMs below 3500. CEL throws a code P06DD (Dual stage oil pump stuck low). This happens instantaneously with no warning, no diagnostic codes in advance.The P06DD is "DUAL STAGE OIL PUMP STUCK LOW". The engine oil pump features seven vanes and a moving element that continuously adjusts to maintain a regulated oil pressure supply by varying the displacement of the pump. The pump has two regulated pressure stages of operation controlled by an on/off solenoid.
