The main reason is in case of EyeSight issues. I did a bunch of research and seems like most (if not all?) posts are about damage to the glass and the eye sight …However, an attentive, defensive and safe driver will almost never experience Eyesight performing a function that changes the safety of a particular trip. I'd make note of the warning, keep an eye on it to see if it goes away, and if it ultimately doesn't clear (or does and returns) consider scheduling an appointment.

If the Check Engine light was illuminated, chances are that EyeSight was not the primary problem, but rather that EyeSight had shut down because it depends on another subsystem upstream that had malfunctioned and/or shut down. ….
